The Great Interbike Ride 2012
This entry was posted on September 8, 2012.
Every September, the biggest bike industry trade show takes place in Las Vegas. It's called Interbike, and a crew from Bikewagon always makes an appearance to meet with brand representatives and keep our finger on the industry's pulse. This year will be no different. The way we'll get there, however, is another story. We thought, "Hey, if we're going to a bike show, we may as well go on a bike!"
So that's what we're doing.
It's a grueling, 5-day ride over 500 miles of desert roads through Utah and Nevada. With temperatures in the 90s, gusting winds and minimal shade, it's going to be tough. But it's also going to be a lot of fun.
Now, anyone who's ever driven from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas knows that there's not much scenery along I-15. (we're afraid that would be even more apparent on a two-wheeler without air conditioning). So we've planned out a route along the back roads where we'll avoid the heavy traffic and hopefully see a little more of the countryside.
It all starts this coming Thursday, September 13. We'll keep you posted.
