Get to know Bikewagon
Here at Bikewagon, we like to get out and ride, and we think everyone should join us.
Ever since its humble beginnings selling salvage freight bike parts out of a Salt Lake City garage, Bikewagon has been about giving cyclists of all levels low-priced gear, making it easy to get on a bike. In 2004, father-son team Dale and George Majors started selling components on eBay. Over the next decade they steadily built the business into one of the largest online retailers in the cycling industry.
Through all those years, they stuck to that original formula of sourcing quality gear from discounted closeout or OEM stock and then passing the savings on to customers. Even as new, current-line products were added to the mix, providing value for the customer was always most important and was emphasized through friendly customer service, helpful content and fast, inexpensive shipping.
In 2016 a local winter sports retailer, L9 Sports, acquired Bikewagon. It was the perfect match, as L9 had followed the same business trajectory of Bikewagon over the years and lived by the same philosophy when it came to offering top-notch customer service and quality gear at low prices. So Bikewagon packed up the warehouse and moved up the road to join L9.
Now, with the combined resources of both companies and multiple brick-and-mortar L9 Sports retail outlets, Bikewagon is only getting better. Just like we always have, we will continue to put the customer first and make cycling and mountain biking accessible for all with high-quality, low-priced bike parts and accessories.
Hop on! Life is better on The Wagon.
